Dr. iur. Dimitris Nikas

Dr. iur. Dimitris Nikas, lawyer, appointed to the Greek Supreme Courts of Appeal (Aeropagus and Conseil d¢ Etat), received his first state law degree from Heidelberg University. In addition to his studies at Heidelberg University he received his second State law degree in Stuttgart. Dr. iur. Nikas received his doctor of Law at Athens University. He is a very experienced and well known court lawyer and legal advisor.

As a legal advisor and member of the management team for a variety of businesses in both the private and public sector he is endowed with the knowledge and experience in the legal matters related to business management and business relations. Included among the cases he¢s successfully litigated are many of national and European scope. Dr. iur Nikas is distinguished for his special interest in the development of modern European law and its application in Greece. Furthermore Dr. iur Nikas has created a substantial amount of scientific work in the areas of National, European and International Competition, Pharmaceutical, Energy and Environmental law.

He is a member of the Union des Avocats Europeens (UAE), Association of European Lawyers (AEA), the Union for Foreign and International Private and Economy Law of the University of Heidelberg and the Federation Internationale pour le Droit Européen (FIDE), the American Hellenic Institute (AHI), and the World Hellenes Abroad (SAE).

The core of Dr. iur. Nikas¢ activities in the practice of law include both in and out of court advice and representation of clients of his law firm in the areas of Private Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Financial law, Labour Law, Energy Law, Public Law and European Law, Contractual Law, Competition Law, Consumers Protection Law, Medical Preparation and Dangerous Chemicals Law, Food Law and Environmental Law.
